Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2025

JustBlinds (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates as a blind matching and referral service. We are committed to protecting your personal information and complying with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how you can access or correct it.

What information we collect

We collect personal information through two forms on this website:

Consumer quote requests — When you submit a quote request, we collect your name, email address, suburb or postcode, city, service interest, property type, and optionally your phone number and a message. This information is used solely to match you with a vetted local blind specialist.

Partner applications — When a blind installer or specialist applies to join our network, we collect their business name, contact name, email address, phone number, service areas, services offered, years in business, and optionally their website URL and a message. This information is used to assess and process the application.

We use a honeypot field in our forms to detect and discard automated spam submissions. No personal information from honeypot-triggered submissions is stored.

How we use your information

We use the personal information you provide to:

  • Match homeowners with suitable local blind specialists in their area
  • Facilitate contact between homeowners and matched specialists
  • Process and assess partner applications
  • Respond to enquiries and requests
  • Improve our service over time

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Personal information from consumer quote requests will be shared with the specialist we match you with — this is the core purpose of the service and is necessary to fulfil your request.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Our forms are served over HTTPS. We store information securely and limit access to authorised personnel only.

As noted in our site notice, JustBlinds is currently in development. Our technical infrastructure and formal data handling procedures are being established. We are committed to having appropriate systems in place before we handle personal information at scale.

Disclosure to specialists

When we match a homeowner with a local specialist, we share the relevant contact and service details from the quote request with that specialist so they can make contact. We require specialists to use this information only for the purpose of responding to the quote request and not to use it for unsolicited marketing.

We do not share personal information with specialists who are not involved in the match.

Access and correction

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request correction of information that is inaccurate or out of date. To make a request, contact us at hello@justblinds.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us at hello@justblinds.com.au. We will investigate the matter and respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
